Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for an AP Accountant located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The AP Accountant will involve on providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization.

Main role is to complete payments and control expenses with proper documentation, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Control the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

- To gather sufficient and appropriate supporting documents for each purchasing transaction (both trade, non-trade and or related party recharges).

- To ensure all journal entries are supported by detailed, clear, and valid documentation in term of legitimacy and reasonableness of all expense items regarding current Company policies and effective Accounting/Tax/Finance practices, requirements and regulations.

- Be able to well communicate with all stake holders to identify the root causes of problems and come up with best solutions to tackle accounting issues.

- To ensure the monthly closing tasks on time and commit to perform monthly reconciliations, review of vendor statements, accounts and balances

- To maintain and control prepaid expenses, detailed calculation of expense items schedule

- To participate in cross-functional/departmental projects to have continuous improvements on internal working procedures and processes.

- To involve in providing data and giving explanations to related person-in-charge of various technical topics (such as annual Tax reviews, Transfer pricing, Audit…)

- Provide data and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting activities (if any)

- To systematically and securely store data, records, and legal documents as required by law, including company legal files, contracts, financial statements, audit reports, and tax reports. Organize data storage in a scientific manner to support various reporting needs and ensure comprehensive access on network drives.

- Ad-hoc and/or requirements upon request from Management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in accounting functions and at least 2 years in AP positions.
• Be well-informed about Vietnamese Accounting Standards and some basic prevailing Tax regulations.
• General knowledge of internal control concepts and ERP (SAP) is highly preferable and favorable.
• Be able to communicate in English (pre-intermediate level or above)
• Account Reconciliation and Invoice Processing proficiency
• Possess a business mindset and a team player and a can-do attitude.
